History
Mainline Travel has been in Gedling, Nottingham for over 40 years — first opening our doors in 1979.
Ian Forecast and his wife Vicki took over the business in 1994. We have two other highly experienced travel consultants, all of whom have travelled substantially and are experts in worldwide travel. Vanessa Clifford joined us in 1997 and Karen Beck has been with us for more than 20 years. For many years now, we have been running escorted group travel tours, led by tour escort John Dawn. He is well known in the area and escorts 3 or 4 trips every year which always start and finish at our office in Gedling. Find out more about these on our escorted group tours page.

We're a close-knit team of three, and between us we have over 100 years' experience in travelling around the world. Unlike most travel agents, we are completely independent and can match our clients' needs to the best holiday and tour operator for them.
